We had another vendor tell us that our carbon monoxide was a dangerously high levels and our furnace needed to be replaced ($9000 estimate). They actually shut off our furnace and claim that it was by law that they had to do thisWe obviously needed a second opinion (Especially before having the family over for Thanksgiving) and called Modern Sheet Metal. Nick came out the same day within two hours and was very, very, very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. Oh, and by the way, they didn’t even charge us for the service call although we agreed to pay them something. I contacted Modern Sheet Metal because my Carrier Infinity thermostat screen went black. My furnace went out on the coldest day of the winter, so far (of course), and I called the company that had worked on it 2 months prior, and got no answer, with no option to leave a voice mail. That was super discouraging, so I took to a local Facebook group for recommendations. Modern Sheet Metal was mentioned several times, so I called. Not only did they answer, but the technician called me back almost immediately, and we figured out the best approach to fix my problem. Within 24 hours, I had heat, and for quite a bit less than the original servicer had quoted, for the motor that I knew would have to be replaced soon. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for any HVAC needs!

I've had problems with my humidity unit in my greenhouse for several years. A friend recommended Modern Sheet Metal, and when I called them, they came out already that afternoon. Had a leak in our AC unit. The technician came right away to evaluate a possible leaking coil and give an estimate. Upon returning for the service call he determined the coil was fine and that something else was wrong, called for a second opinion and a major problem suddenly became a simple adjustment to leaking valves. My air conditioner wasn’t working today, called Modern Sheet Metal and they were here within 30 min and had it working in 5! About 3 years ago, my furnace went out on a Friday on the coldest day of the year, they were able to come look at it that day and had it replaced by that evening. Everyone I have worked with has been very nice and I found them to be trustworthy.

Woke up to a cool home with minus 10 degrees outside. Preliminary investigation told me to call professionals. Made the call and the service technicians arrived within 45 minutes. I would highly recommend Modern Sheet Metal Heating and Cooling. I had a full Furnace put in my house- They were fairly priced- Easy to work with team and friendly- I had many questions, Jeff was patient and professional and made sure to address each question- Quick response time- Felt I was provided with honest feedback to my questions and was helped to pick out the best option for meSince this is more of a specific instance for me I am not adding this as a bullet item. I used to have hot water heat, which was really nice, but the boiler needed to be upgraded, some of the lines needed to be removed and redone, and the registers all needed to be replaced due to multiple paint jobs on them. I had asked other companies to quote me all options for AC and heating, and they only quoted me the AC options and told me to leave the hot water heat. This is nothing against other companies, but I was looking for the best option for the money and had mentioned this. Jeff from Modern Sheet Metal Heating & Cooling provided me all of the options and he even discussed the different options with me, along with the pros and cons of each one. In the end he recommended the best option for the money would be the full furnace install, and I agreed.

We needed emergency service on the weekend. Quick call back after I left a message, and the technician came once he finished with the two other jobs ahead of me and was able to quickly repair the AC unit and get things running. Been using them for about 15 years. They are fantastic! Our first experience with them was as a second opinion on an 18-year-old furnace and AC system. The first opinion was is that both items needed to be replaced to the tune of 10K. Their tech found that a mouse had chewed through the AC wires outside and fixed it for about $50. Those units were still working great when we sold the house 3 years later. We’ve used them ever since.They almost always get here the same day. Their service technicians are very professional and they get it right the first time - I’ve never had to call them back for the same issue. Their prices are very reasonable.

Every technicians we have had do maintenance (maybe 12 or so? Over 10 years) are professional, kind, extremely knowledgeable and respectful. I have never felt like they are talking down to me or trying to sell me something I don’t need. I’ve always felt comfortable and safe with them in my home working. It was a few years ago that we used modern sheet metal to replace our A coil. They were the most honest hvac company that we had come out for an estimate. Every other company wanted to replace our whole system which would have cost us thousands (and it was only a 6 year old system). Modern sheet metal came out and recommended only replacing the a coil first since it was most likely the problem. We saved thousands of dollars! Years later no problems, ac is still running great! I called them on a Tuesday as my 38 year old Carrier furnace started making squealing noise. A representative came out a few hours later and gave me a quote with 3 different furnaces suggested for my house. I chose the one and asked when they could install it. His reply was tomorrow. And Wednesday morning they showed up at 7:30 and had whole thing installed in about 4.5 hours. Installation looks very professional and clean. They even installed new wireless thermostat I purchased from them. When I got the bill a week later I was sceptical that there would be some extra charges for something but nope. The total was exactly as quoted even though they had a few unexpected issues and an electrical problem they had to have electrician come out and figure out. I am very pleased with the experience and would highly recommend them. Now I'm just hoping new furnace lasts another 38 years

I am more than pleased with the level of service and professionalism that this company has. I’ve used them now on three occasions and every time it’s been great. The most recent was my furnace not working. Of course on a single digit temp day! They were coming that day to fix it and install a new one later in the week. They called me back ten minutes later and said they will get out that to install the new one. Saved me from paying to fix a 30 year old furnace and then just replace it right away. Great service. I called for an estimate after another company that I had hired to do a yearly cleaning and inspection told me my furnace would need to be replaced soon. That company gave me an estimate on a new one that was around twice the amount of the price I received from Modern. The other company tried upselling me a unit that was more than what my house needed. So Modern installed within a couple of days and I was very happy with the new furnace at a good price. A year later I called to have an April Aire installed because the house is too dry in the winter. They did a great job with that as well and the price was much less than what I expected. They also showed me how to change the water panel myself instead of having them do it so I would save money on that. And I was told the furnace only needs to be cleaned and inspected every two years instead of every year. Their prices are fair and their service is awesome!I talked to a neighbor who was having issues with their furnace and I recommended Modern Sheet Metal to them. He said he called and talked to someone who was able to diagnose the problem over the phone. The tech told him that they didn't have the part he needed and recommended another company that should have it. The neighbor had his problem fixed and told me he was very impressed with Modern and would be giving them all of his business in the future as well.Love to have an honest and reliable locally owned company that I feel comfortable doing business with!

Can’t say enough good things about Modern Sheet Metal. Tech came yesterday to look at a/c issues coil was leaking and we needed an new a/c. The tech was upfront and honest and have two options to keep it going for time being or replace it. There was no pressure and he stated regardless of which way you go he would leave with it working. We decided to replace it, spoke with Jeff right away next morning and it was replaced within 24 hours. The installers were friendly and quick. They also serviced the furnace as well so one less thing we will have to worry about.

We recently had our furnace go out and It took us 5 different estimates to find these guys but I'm sure glad we did! Modern Sheet Metal was the only one to tell us that our furnace could be fixed for free because there was a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger and they were also the only ones to show me how to reset our furnace to get it to run for a little bit to get a little heat in the house. Even though we could have gotten it fixed for free we decided to replace it because it was getting up there in age and Modern Sheet Metal had the best price by far. They were on site the next day and got our furnace replace in about 3 hours! Thank you for the great service, honesty and no nonsense estimate.

I had a different company do maintenance on my boiler. He then told me I needed to replace the boiler due to him finding high carbon monoxide numbers. I then called another company who came out and was told I didn't need a new boiler and doubted the co numbers. I then called Modern Sheet Metal and Jeff came out to check and also said a new boiler was not needed. I was happy but I told him I was a bit concerned about the co and he told me they offer a "free" 2nd opinion.Tim came out about one hour later and ended up doing a lot of fixing and cleaning that looked like it hadn't been done. CO numbers were about 8. I am happy I don't need a new boiler and happy that there are some honest companies not just wanting to sell for the money.Thanks Jeff and Tim for your honesty and GREAT customer service. My wife and I can't say enough good about this company. They came as a word of mouth referral from a friend. My previous heating and AC guy was great but he was unable to put a furnace in my house for over a week when it went out in the dead of winter. I called them on Monday morning before work and they quoted a very fair price and had a new furnace in by early afternoon the same day. They then returned today to put the AC unit on(they allowed us to wait until spring to pay and install). They were on time, profession, and even a little entertaining. Modern Sheet Metal did a full planning and installation of heating and cooling for us with new construction. Jeff and his team were extremely easy to work with and overall have done a very professional job with the installation and follow-up with additional details. With new construction, nothing seems to go 100% as planned but when I needed to have them at the house, they were there to help. We were (unplanned) self general contractors for our project. Jeff was always prompt to respond to questions or concerns I had with the process and also offer suggestions to overcome construction issues that we encountered.We had MSM install 2 radiant systems fully zoned and a forced air heating and air conditioning. Jeff and I discussed several options for getting the "best system" for our needs and I believe that we have done exactly that. I probably challenged him a bit more than most but he was always open to suggestions and willing to answer my questions, regardless of what they were.We have had a couple of challenges after the installation with minor equipment failures but MSM has stood behind their work 100%. No questions asked and also has been extremely prompt with repairs. Such a trustworthy business and honestly I couldn’t be happier with their technicians! This summer we recently went through them for our A/C unit. They were quick and just wonderful. This winter we had a problem with our furnace and called a different company to come out (not realizing that Modern had emergency heat services). The other company came out and absolutely refused to fix our furnace and said it needed to be replaced. Granted this was 11:00pm and having a technician tell me they weren’t going to fix it because there was too much wrong was a horrible feeling especially with 4 kids sleeping upstairs. The other company called my husband he told them we had another company coming out to look at it and give us a quote, they then called me to see if they could get a different answer. This was a scare tactic. We didn’t want to go through anyone else but Modern for a new furnace if we needed it. I called at 7:00am and told the gentleman on the phone what happened and what was going on. He assured me that the tech would have some space heaters in the van if we needed them. He sent out a technician named Aaron. I explained what the other company had said and he said I am going to do some trouble shooting and see if I can fix it. Let me tell you he was able to fix it. He not only fixed it but was able to see where the problem had originated and fixed that too. Hands down honest people work for Modern and they work with you. Highly recommend Modern Heating and cooling / sheet metal. 👏🏻🙏🏻👌🏻
